Organisers of an annual Hertfordshire festival have announced the first family acts for this summer’s spectacular.
Standon Calling will return to the Hertfordshire countryside from Thursday, July 26 to Sunday, July 29.
Promoters of the boutique camping festival in the grounds of Standon Lordship have already confirmed Roxy Music legend Bryan Ferry will headline the main stage on the Sunday night.
Now organisers have announced the first family entertainment, with Horrible Histories making a return to Standon after last summer’s triumphant debut.
A Standon Calling statement added: “We also welcome the greatest kids’ band ever, Andy & the Odd Socks (remember to wear your odd socks!), and Woodland Tribe visit Standon Calling for the first time, encouraging the ultimate in adventure play as kids build their own playground.
“These lot join a packed programme of family entertainment and activities curated for your kids in the fields of Hertfordshire this summer.
“Scale the climbing wall, get dancing or hula hooping, learn circus skills, stretch out with kid-friendly yoga, drift off to some campfire storytelling and much more.
“Plus, all your favourites, including the annual costume parade, the dog show and, of course, the swimming pool!
“We also have a dedicated family campsite so you can make friends and get an early night if you need it.”
The festival’s 2018 fancy dress theme will be announced soon.
