Royston Town's FA Cup prize if they can finally see off Peterborough Sports will be a trip to Rushall Olympic.
The Crows had held the National League North side to a 0-0 draw at Garden Walk on Saturday with the pair meeting again on Tuesday at Lincoln Road.
And whoever gets through will head to Walsall to take on another step two side, just one game from the first round proper.
A crowd of 621 packed into the ground and most would have been impressive by Chris Watters' side.
They had the best chance of an end-to-end cup tie when Luke Johnson’s shot from a tight angle hit the post.
Regardless of what happens in the reply, Royston are back in action in another FA competition on Saturday when they travel to fellow Southern League Premier Division Central side Lowestoft Town for a third round qualifying match in the FA Trophy.
Royston Town's women continued to blaze a trail through the Eastern Region League, making it seven wins from seven.
The 3-0 success away to Wroxham means they remain firmly top of the Premier Division standings, six from six this season and currently six points clear of Luton Town but having played a game more.
The disappointment, if there was one from their trip to Norfolk, was the number of chances squandered.
They had plenty of efforts but had to wait until the second half of the game when two came in the space of six minutes.
The first was from Neve Mayes with an absolute rocket while the second belonged to Emma Slater, capitalising on some sloppy defending.
Royston’s third goal was almost on the final whistle, Jordanne Sillitoe producing some wonderful skill before calmly putting the ball into the back of the net.
The Crows now face a series of home games, first in the league on Sunday when Needham Market are the visitors, and then on October 13 when they take on Bungay Town in the third qualifying round of the Women's FA Cup.
