Five wins on the bounce and seven games unbeaten have transformed the season for Royston Town - much to the delight of manager Chris Watters.
It was only two months ago that the Crows had the hot breath of a relegation battle on their necks after just one point from eight matches through October and November.
But a total of 19 from a possible 21 has shot Town back up the table, to the point they are now ninth and just six points away from the play-offs.
The latest success came with a 3-0 win away at Berkhamsted, courtesy of goals from from Adam Murray, Dequane Wilson-Braithwaite and Fabio Virciglio.
"It was a potential banana skin," said Watters. "The new manager has come in and they have had two really tight results against two good sides, so add that to the five ex-Royston lads, we knew they would have the bit between their teeth.
"We didn't start fantastically well but the goal seemed to settle us and we had a lot of joy in their half.
"It was a really enjoyable afternoon, especially how it went in the second half.
"We were very professional with our defensive performance and as they were 1-0 down, they had to commit bodies forward.
"Our second and third goals were really well taken and we could have had a couple more.
"It's another performance on the back of Bromsgrove where we solid.
"The two full-backs nullified everything in wide areas and it was good to see Dequane get on the scoresheet.
"There will come a game where we are unlucky or chances don't go in and they manage to get one, that will happen.
"But we are increasing the percentage of it not happening by the performances we are putting in and the way we are playing."
