There will be a new name on the Herts Women's Senior Cup as Royston Town sent the holders packing.
The Crows faced Stevenage in the quarter-final in what was a repeat of last year's final.
Then Boro had won 5-4 on penalties after a dramatic 2-2 draw.
This time the County Ground saw Royston emerge with a 2-1 success and set-up a semi-final against Harpenden Town.
The visitors started brightly and had a lot of chances to break the deadlock before they finally did.
It came after Jordanne Sillitoe had struck the crossbar, Emma Slater bundled over as the teams went for the rebound.
Charlotte South stepped up and despite Stevenage keeper Celine Ray going the right way, the ball had enough on it to beat her and find the net.
That lead only lasted five minutes though with another penalty awarded, this time after Amy Makewell was fouled by Tally Miles.
Amy Gooderham took it and sent Elle Sarter the wrong way.
The second half almost began with a second Stevenage goal.
A flick-on from Makewell found Mathilda Fidler but although her effort also beat Sarter, this one came back off the bar.
What turned out to be the winner arrived on 61 minutes.
Amy Houghton played it out from the back who with South's flick sending Laura Mills away to score.
Royston moved further into the ascendancy 10 minutes later as Boro were reduced to 10, Grace Brooks picking up a second yellow card after a foul on Slater.
Miles sent a free-kick over the top, the ball brushing the top of the crossbar on its way, but Stevenage finished with a flurry of chances that Sarter did very well to deny.
Ray also did the same at the other end to prevent Emily and Poppy Smith from adding to the Crows' tally.
Royston's next game is away to St Albans City the Eastern Region Premier Division.
Royston's men are still searching for a victory after they were beaten 2-1 away to Stratford Town in the Southern League Premier Division Central.
They are now on a run of six league games without a win, five of them defeats.
This one saw them a goal down at half-time, scored two minutes from the break by Callum Ebanks, and then down to 10 men after Charlie Johnson, back at the club after a spell at St Ives Town, was given a straight red card.
Charlie Williams then made it 2-0 to the Bards on 70 minutes only for Josh Coldicott-Stevens to pull one back with a free-kick.
The Crows almost snatched a point through Fabio Virciglio, but Stratford keeper Liam O'Brien made the save from the close range.
Royston manager Chris Watters was still keeping the faith though.
He said: "Yes, we need to be more clinical and yes, we need to create our own luck.
"However, the work ethic and resilience of this group is plain to see and that will be what turns this run around.
"The biggest thank you to the Royston fans that travelled. That support was on fire."
Town are back at Garden Walk on Saturday when they play Barwell.
