Royston teen golfer, Ava Gadsby, has added another title to her bulging trophy cabinet.
The St Edmunds College in Ware pupil was competing in Hertfordshire Schools Scratch Championship Rose Bowl.
Held at Chesfield Downs Golf & Country Club, a field of 15 took part in the 18 hole scratch championship event to decide the overall winner and the U16 winner.
The winner was to be the player returning the overall lowest gross score and Gadsby shot an 82, equivalent of 74 nett, to finish fifth overall.
That was good enough for the 12-year-old to win the U16 crown.
Gadsby has now lifted in a stellar 2023.
That list includes winning an open golf championship, a US qualifier, numerous junior opens and the Hertfordshire County Summer Series.
Speaking on Instagram, she said: "What a day in very challenging conditions.
"Thank you to everyone around me for helping me to perform at my best especially my coaches because of all the changes and club upgrades.
"I really appreciate you keeping me on track and my awesome teachers for looking after me and inspiring me."
