The final round of the BMX East Winter Series attracted a big squad from Royston Rockets and they returned home with a good haul of podium positions.
The event, which, in a first for the region, was streamed live via the Braintree club YouTube channel, which was a first for the region, saw 17 Rockets take part in weather that was anything but wintery.
And 13 of them made it to A finals, helping the club to an overall finishing position of third in the series.
In the final individual rankings, Deacon Childs was third in the male 10 category while Zac Childs was second in the male 12.
Silver medals also belonged to Annalise Cadman Carpenter (male 14), Joe Stebbings (male 16) and Christina Boukouvalas Loubiere (female 11-12).
The series winners from the club were Dominic Hines (male 15), Freddie Cadman Carpenter (male 17-29), and Ollie Dwyer (17+ cruiser).
One of the club's younger riders, Leopold Sikkema Lucena, made his debut appearance in the male U7 group, coming 13th on the day.
Royston's riders are now switching their attention to the eight-round Summer Series, which starts on March 12 at the Cyclopark in Kent.
The Rockets host their round on May 14.
