Annalise Cadman-Carpenter, who rode in two categories, raced to victory in the Cruiser 13-14 age group securing first place in all her races as well as a third spot in the male 13 race.

The girls were in fine form throughout with Eleni Rushforth finishing second in the 11-12 group, Christina Boukouvalas-Loubiere third in the 9-10 and Cara Rushforth winning the female cruiser, placing her as sixth veteran.

The male 11 group was dominated by Ben Millington who beat team-mate Zac Childs to the win, with Braden Duffy in fifth.

Deacon Childs won the male 9 with Liam Wade fourth and Johan Potgieter in sixth.

Dominic Hines finished confidently first in the male 14, with Eliot Wilmot in third and Hayden Stone in seventh, while Oliver Dwyer rode in two categories, finishing second male 17-29 and fourth in the cruiser group of the same age band.

The superclass was represented by Josh Izzard, Billy Irwin, Josh Abbott and Freddie Cadman-Carpenter.

The pace of these races is exhilarating to watch, with the crowd transfixed by the speeds that can be reached. Josh Izzard hit the fastest lap of the day achieving an impressive 33 seconds.

The speed though can also play havoc and bring surprising finishing positions and it left Izzard in third, Irwin fifth and Josh Abbott in eighth.

A spokeswoman for the club said: "We are all very proud of our numbers whenever they race but in particular when they work so hard at their home track."

The club hold races every other Tuesday in the summer and are delighted to welcome new members.
