A Royston Girlguiding group has received a £500 donation to help refurbish its headquarters.
The donation was made by housebuilder, Redrow South Midlands, who are currently developing Hedera Gardens on Hampshire Road.
Funds will be used for much-needed updates to the Girlguiding Royston District Headquarters, including critical replacements of the main entrance and fire doors, which are more than 50 years old and pose a health and safety risk.
Brownie unit leader Marion Kett said: "It’s fantastic to receive this donation from Redrow, which will have a huge impact on the girls in the local community who want to use our space to meet new friends and be part of a community that has been in Royston for over a hundred years."
