A Royston charity shop is appealing for donations from spring cleans.
The Age UK shop in Royston is urging residents to donate unwanted items to a new home.
The initiative supports the charity's circular economy philosophy, preventing 700,000 kilos of waste from heading to landfill and saving 10 million kilos of CO2e (carbon dioxide equivalent) this year alone.
Customer purchases in the store support vital services for the elderly, including the telephone friendship service, free advice line and the silver line Helpline.
Personal stylist Lisa Wisdom said: "Charity shops are the perfect place for finding unique items for gifts or to update your wardrobe.
"By supporting Age UK, I am also supporting older people across the country."
Age UK Royston shop manager, Andy Hancock said: "We want to inspire locals to join the sustainable movement and are encouraging them to come and visit us this spring.
"We are always on the look-out for new donations and have a wide range of new spring stock.
"You’ll be helping raise vital funds for Age UK so that it can continue supporting older people."
The charity also uses a Gift Aid scheme, adding an extra 25 per cent value to donations without costing the donor anything.
