King James Academy in Royston will remain partially closed for the rest of the week, due to storm damage.
The secondary school site was closed yesterday (Monday, January 8) after last week's storm caused flooding to the main senior site teaching block, leaving it unsafe for pupils and staff.
Secondary-aged pupils and their teachers were told to remain home while the flood damage was assessed.
Today, Year 11 students were welcomed back on site, but Years 7 to 10 will continue to work remotely for the remainder of the week.
In a letter to parents, headteacher Lisa Plowman said: "We will try to get all year groups back into school as soon as possible, but at the moment we have limited electricity, heating and access to some buildings, and the computer server and phone lines are not operational due to the water damage."
