Home-Start's poet-in-residence will entertain guests with an evening of poetry at Royston Bowling Club.
Jude Simpson will perform some of her new material and talk about her journey as a writer and poet.
She will also discuss some of her recent writing - including a ghostwritten book and a school nativity play.
Jude is asking anyone who attends to bring along their favourite piece of poetry, which they can either read out themselves or Jude will read it out to everyone.
The event takes place at the bowling club at 7.15pm on Monday, November 20.
Anyone who would like to come along can book by calling 01763 262262 or emailing events@hsrsc.org.uk.
Refreshments will be available on arrival.

The event is free to attend, but at the end of the evening guests will be asked for donations, half of which will go to Jude and the other half to Home-Start Royston, Buntingford and South Cambridgeshire.
Home-Start supports families with young children who are struggling with issues such as post-natal depression, isolation, physical health problems and bereavement.
Families receive the support of a volunteer, who will spend around two hours a week in a family's home, and the charity also organises day trips and parties.
