Ashwell is welcoming visitors to its annual 'Ashwell at Home' open village event, which returns next month for the 38th year.
The event takes place on Sunday, May 14 from 11am to 5pm, and this year's theme is 'A Day in the Country'.
Alongside a tour of gardens of all shapes and sizes, there will be a range of country-themed activities, displays and talks.
The programme will be announced throughout the day by the town crier, and is available in advance from www.ashwellathome.co.uk.
Gardens will be open throughout the village, with the opportunity to gather gardening tips. Ashwell's historical herb garden, wildlife allotment and village cottage garden will also be open for visitors.
As part of the country theme, visitors can enjoy a 'down on the farm' exhibition of local farming, including farm animals, a dog show, a tree trail, and talks on food production and butter making.
Children can take part in free workshops, including drama, craft and folk dancing, as well as making junk robots, welly throwing and storytelling. There will also be a magic show and a small funfair.
