The train strikes that were set to impact services across Hertfordshire this weekend have been called off.
Previously, the strikes by members of the RMT union were planned for the 5, 7 and 9 November.
RMT general secretary Mick Lynch has now said that there has been "the promise of an offer" on pay from the rail operating companies and that the threat of strikes had "made the rail employers see sense".
However, the timing of the cancellation means that services will still be impacted.
Tim Shoveller, Network Rail's chief negotiator, said:"The very late notice means that services for tomorrow cannot be reinstated and will remain extremely limited."
Services on Monday, November 7, may also be affected.
