John Graham Whitehead Former proprietor of Herts and Cambs Engineering John of Melbourn, peacefully passed away on 5th December 2022 aged 93 years after a short illness. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. The funeral service is on Friday 6th January 2023 at All Saints' Church, Melbourn at 12.30pm with a private burial thereafter. Family flowers only please. I worked for John for over 10 years. I never saw him lose his temper in all that time - despite being sorely tried by all of us from time to time. An engineering genius, and an adept adaptor of unlikely things to fulfill difficult tasks' he taught me more than I realized and more than he would ever know. I was so very happy to be in contact with him during the last years of his life, and so sad to see such a man leave us. He will be remembeed by many - especially those who worked so closely with and for him. Here is a photo of the Herts & Cambs crew from 1976

I will always remember John as remarkable person who always amazed me with his engineering genius. Sadly will be missed and my thoughts go with friends and family.
