HUGHES EDMUND (EDDIE) WILLIAM (late of Great Chesterford) born 19th May 1916 (Croydon Village, Cambs) died 13th August 2011, aged 95. After determined and stoical resistance to a Parkinsons related disease for almost 20 years, Eddie died peacefully and with dignity at Hatherly House in Saffron Walden. Soldier, gardener, inventor, naturalist, musician ....and prankster to the end! He was, more importantly, a dedicated and much loved dad, grandad, great grandad and uncle.
