STAN SIMONS The family of Stanley ( Stan ) Simons are saddened to announce his death on 10th January 2015 aged 97 years. Stan was a much loved husband to the late Mildred (Milly) and dearly loved father, grandfather & great grandfather. Born in 1917, Stan lived all his life in Royston, except for the war years, which he spent serving with the army in North Africa and Italy. A respected member of the Royston business community for many years with his NDS Engineering firm. Stan was also a keen member of a number of local clubs and societies, including, Royston Town Band, Royston Bowls Club and the Evergreens over 60s club. Funeral service on Friday 30th January at 11.15am at Cambridge City Crematorium, West Chapel. Family flowers only please, due to Stans lifelong support of the town band, donations are gratefully accepted for Royston Town Band, which will go towards the new band room fund, and may be taken to the service or sent to Jeremy Rule Funeral Service, 12, Church Lane, Royston, Herts.
