ETHEL BROOKES (Formerly Smith) Peacefully passed away on Tuesday, April 26th 2016, in a residential home in Baldock, aged 101 years. Beloved wife of Harry and the late Wilfred Smith, loving mother of Pauline and David, mother-in-law of Michael and Marion, step-mother of Carole and David and much loved grandmother of Rebecca, Jonathan and Leigh and sadly missed by all her family and friends. Funeral service on Friday May 13th at 2.30pm at Royston Parish Church followed by private burial. Family flowers only please, donations gratefully accepted for either Mercy Ships or The Gurkha Welfare Trust which may be taken to the service or sent to Jeremy Rule Funeral Service, 12, Church Lane, Royston, Herts, SG8 9LG.
