The Revd Mark Bridgen has been made the new rector of the United Benefice of Barkway, Barley, Reed and Buckland.
His induction and installation was carried out towards the end of May by the Revd James Sawyer in a special service at St Mary Magdalene Church in Barkway, which included a performance by a 30-strong choir based in Reed.
Mark has moved from Sevenoaks with his wife Karen, and will take services in the three churches in Barley, Barkway and Reed - as well as occasional services in the church at Buckland, which is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust.
After the service, a party was held at the back of the church to welcome Mark and Karen.
